The Arrow (Part 2)

The Arrow (Part 2)

This one is raw.
I'm explaining the only way I know how to - through analogies.

I have always known the feeling. I knew a shift was coming. But I wasn’t observant enough back then.
Didn’t pay close enough attention to the signs. I was too wrapped up in surviving to notice the patterns, too unsure of myself to believe I could do anything different.
So the arrow never really took flight. It just fell short. Every damn time.

But this time is different.

Now, when I step out onto the field I can fucking see the entire field. What a view. I see the defenders who will help us win. The fake teammates, the ones who wanted me tackled and got their kicks off it. And this time, I see the real ones - the few who run beside me, blocking for real, not just pretending, providing support as I learn how to fly. The ones wanting us to win the game.

This time I’m not blind. I’ve got the glasses on. I can see the bullshit for what it is. I trust myself to dodge it. I have learned the game book and burned the fucking rulebook.

I now know I am aiming for the bullseye. Financial independence. True Freedom. My family and loved ones close in heart and distance. I am focusing on: Safety. Harmony. Peace. the calm within Nature.
I am within an ace of my partners in crime because we run thick as thieves.
That is the life I’m aiming for.

And this time, I know this my shot. I have practiced, learned, and studied.
This time I have cut all the fucking cords. And I know there are no limits. I know I accomplish everything I set my heart and mind to. I know everything always works out for the better.

This time I’m no longer being pulled back. I’m in the air. And I’m flying. I can see. I can breathe.
No strings. No fear. No bounds.
Just me, the arrow, and holy cow ... I can finally see the whole fucking field.
My target is set in sight.

My arrow has been released.
This time I am taking the fucking ace.
